  • What kind of jobs do you do?

    Pretty much all handyman jobs – everything from putting up pictures and curtains, to fitting a kitchen or bathroom. Please see the list of handyman jobs and all our other services on this website – but it is not exhaustive – if you can’t see what you need on the list, please ask.

  • Do you guarantee your work?

    If something goes wrong as a direct result of your handyman’s work, you can call us to assess the problem. If the fault is found to be due to our workmanship, we will repair it and you won’t have to pay any extra charges.

  • How do you charge?

    £60.00 for the first hour, and £30 per half hour after that for handyman work. Customers are also charged for congestion charge if applicable, and any parking costs incurred. View our full price list here.

  • Do you work weekends or evenings?

    We work on Saturday from 8am to 13.00pm, and can work evenings, but charge extra for this service. Most work is completed during the working day, Monday to Friday and Saturday morning.

  • Where do you work?

    Most of our handyman business is focused in Oxfordshire, and sometimes we are able to work for customers outside the area covering the M4 corridor.

  • How do I pay?

    You can pay by cheque, Cash, Debit or credit card and bank transfer.

  • Are you insured?

    Yes Building a Dream has full public liability insurance for the sum of £2,000.000 Documents can be seen on request.

  • Do you take away waste?

    We generally do not take away rubbish as the council charge trades more than private individuals. But on larger projects we can arrange for waste to be removed.
